Red Fence Launch Party

Painting the Town Red … Or At Least the Fence

For those who didn’t make it to the RedFence Launch (and those who wish the party’d never ended) here are some highlights from our night of revelry. The house gallery boasted visual art from Staff Artist Ariel James, Michael Stewart, a.k.a. Pyropainter, and photographers Matt Floreen, Amber Arseneau, Lukas VanDyke, and David Roland. At the mainstage – with those mystical red boards as backdrop Patrick serenaded us on his classical guitar, and the signature blue-grass-pop-rock of The Hodges got the ladies dancing. After dark, Creative Director Ben Ross and Editor-in-Chief Titus Gee unveiled the cover for the first RedFence Print Edition, and we premiered the short film “Matilda” directed by Staff Artist David Veloz and penned by Senior Writer James Roland. In the wee, still hours of the morning, Jessica Donnheimer struck a more introspective note with an acoustic set of original folk ballads and James Roland read his dark, triumphant tale “The Strangest Thing on Kane St.”
