. . . Saturday Morning Cartoons
by Benjamin Ross

Dooley’s Original Toffee & Vodka dulls the pain of what Saturday mornings have become by helping you re-discover the great cartoons of yester-year.
When the sinking standards of weekend morning animation make the bar seem more inviting than the couch, Dooley’s label calls with memories of the glory years at Hanna-Barbara.
Grab the bottle, pull down the newest box set of Classic Loony tunes (pre-censorship) or the original Transformers Movie, and head for the couch.
After a couple of shots Betty Rubble has never looked so good. Jane Jetson inspires a toast to the enlightened brewers of Eckernförde. (The crisp air of the Baltic Sea clearly has inspired the North Germans to new heights.) You’ll marvel that Dooley’s year 2000 launch is not a part of the Jetsons ideal future.
Smooth toffee slides down the throat, then the sugar kicks your teeth in like a bowl of Chocolate frosted sugar bombs. This Vodka-based toffee may lack the subtle complexity of a whiskey crème, but that only allows the sweetness to rule — just like it does in those classic cartoons. Each is deep in its own right, with much more going on than meets the eye, but best not to take them too seriously.
Saturday Mornings are back.
