Aftermath of the Inferno



On a warm, windy afternoon in October 2007, a ten-year-old in Agua Dulce, California, lit a match that sparked an inferno. Driven by hurricane-force winds, the "Buckweed" fire swept southwest into Bouquet Canyon, ravaging 10,000 acres in the first hour and driving RedFence friends Greg and Mary Smith from their cottage in Saugus. When they returned, three days later, their home was a smoking ruin. They invited RedFence to come along as they assessed the damage and faced the new reality of their lives.
